


Family Search International, through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has donated a consignment of computers and accessories to the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) to support and improve the organisation’s data management systems.
Presenting the items, Bishop Alfred Michael Sesay, accompanied by other church representatives, stated that the donation is aimed at enhancing the SLP’s efficiency in data processing and record keeping. He noted that the Church remains committed to supporting institutions that contribute to national development and public safety.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Sahr Yomba Senesi expressed profound gratitude to Family Search International and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He assured that the equipment will be utilised effectively and strictly for its intended purpose.
DIG Senesi further conveyed the appreciation of the Inspector General and the entire SLP leadership for recognising the needs of the Sierra Leone Police and contributing towards strengthening its operational capacity.
The ceremony concluded with the official handing over of the equipment and a group photograph to mark the occasion.
